When to use ICE vs HEAT for your injuries? 🤷♀️ This is a question I get a lot in the practice, so thought I'd make an infographic as a useful summary tool for you to revert to when needed, check it out below 👇
The most NB to remember: use ICE ❄️ for more acute/younger injuries to relieve inflammation, use HEAT 🔥for chronic/older injuries to relieve stiffness & aching joints.
CAUTION: Never use heat for acute/new injuries as it will increase inflammation and delay healing!
