MEET THE TEAM

Aimee obtained her BA Sport Sci & BSc (Hons) Biokinetics degrees at Stellenbosch University. She completed her Biokinetics internship in 2022 at a private practice in KZN, where she gained valuable clinical and practical experience at the Prime High
Performance Centre, as well as with the Shark's rugby team.

 

Aimee has a shared passion for sports and helping people. Working as a Biokineticist, she is able to utilise both her passions on a daily basis. Besides being a perfectionist and hard-worker, she is a friendly, loyal and compassionate person who enjoys being around others.

 Aimee is an avid hockey player and loves ocean swims, staying active and spending quality time with family and friends.

​

She has experience in working with people of all ages and walks of life, assisting them with their exercise and rehabilitation needs.

Kim

Owner & Biokineticist

Kim completed her MSc Biokinetics, BA HMS Hons (Sport Sci), BA HMS Hons (Biokinetics) and BSport Sci degrees (all with distinction) at the University of Pretoria, whilst also being awarded the BASA student of the year award in 2014. Her Masters thesis was titled: ‘The effect of the Pilates method of exercise on the pain & functionality of the upper extremities in female office workers in Pretoria’.

As an ex-international Artistic gymnast, her love for movement developed at a young age. Working as a Biokineticist, she enjoys being able to help others achieve and maintain a high level of physical health & well-being. Her strong background in sport has enabled her to apply those techniques and principles to her work, specifically during injury rehabilitation or prevention.

 

Kim is vastly experienced in working with a variety of orthopaedic and sports injuries, as well as the rehabilitation of individuals with chronic diseases and disabilities. She is also a qualified sports massage therapist and Pilates mat instructor.

 

She has a special interest in working with the elderly, as well as clients with neuromuscular conditions.

STEPHANIE

Biokineticist

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Kinetics and Ergonomics and Psychology from Rhodes University, where she graduated with distinction. To further enhance her expertise, she pursued an Advanced Certificate in Sports Conditioning and completed the BASI Mat Teachers Training Course. Stephanie then continued her academic journey at the University of Cape Town, earning a Bachelor of Medical Science Honours in Biokinetics, also with distinction.

 

She worked at a neurological and orthopedic center, where she gained invaluable knowledge and skills in adapting exercise to be accessible for everyone, regardless of their physical limitations. This experience has been pivotal in shaping her approach to biokinetics, emphasizing inclusivity and personalized care.

 

Building relationships with her clients is at the heart of what she does, and she cherishes the opportunity to support and motivate them on their journey to better health. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her enjoying a stroll along the promenade with her lively Dachshund.

 

Stephanie holds a special interest in neurological rehabilitation and special populations.
